A coworker is doing his immigration papers......?

his lawyer has asked for our bosses to provide their last 3 years of federal taxes. is this the usual? bosses are dragging their feet on it! just curious----anywhere they can see in writing that they do need to provide that info so he can finish his papers?!

Answer:
If your coworker is being petitioned or sponsored by your employer, yes your boss does need to provide copies of their last 3 years federal taxes. It all depends on what type of case he has pending. The CIS needs proof that they earn enough to sponsor your co-worker.

Yes this is right. My lawyer wanted me to give them a copy of my last 3 years income as well.
Yes, the business has to prove they have enough income to pay the wage that the department of labor determined was the minimum for the job. If they don't give the lawyer the taxes, your coworkers case will be denied and he will lose all the money and time that was put into the case.
Yes, the sponsor must provide tax information for the intending immigrant.
