The Spanish borders are being crossed illegally by Africans.
Why do you think the US and Spanish Governments won't simply deport those illegal immigrants according to law?

I don't know why Spain isn't enforcing their own laws, but I do know some of the excuses that are given to explain why the U.S. is not enforcing theirs.
Naysayer Reason #1: It is impossible to locate and deport such a large number of illegals. BULL. If the U.S. is capable of putting a man on the moon, it should be able to handle returning Pedro to his pueblo.
Naysayer Reason #2. It is impossible to secure and control a border as large as that of the U.S. BULL. If we can secure and control borders in Iraq & Afghanistan, we damn sure ought take a stab at controlling our own. Let's start by bringing all our troops back from foreign countries and put them on OUR OWN borders. Let's fight the wars at home before fighting Habib"s!
Naysayer Reason #3. We must be humanitarian and consider the welfare of the illegal's children. BULL. Let their parents handle that. If they didn't want that responsibility they should not have had them. Children belong with their parents. Remember Elian Gonzalez - the Cuban boy who was returned to his father, forcibly by U.S. authorities. Well, if it's good enough for Cubans, it should be the same for Mexicans, etc.
Failing to secure U.S. borders is like trying to keep the bugs out of your house with window screens that are full of holes. If you don't plug the holes, they'll just keep coming...And, contrary to what one poster wrote, this does affect the U.S. economy, thus all U.S. citizens, claro?
because we are now in a world where any actions deemed as intolerant or culturally insensitive are held up before the world and criticized with much zeal. we can no longer act as a sovereign nation in defense of our own borders. the world community would not accept this .

Thats not realistic. You have a self absorbed perspective and have no caring for the well-being of human beings. They maybe illegal but they are still are people like you and me.
