Mr. Tuffly said the chapter, which represents the state's non-supervisory field agents, endorsed Mr. Kyl's 2006 campaign "with the clear understanding" that he would not support amnesty for illegal aliens. "We feel we have been sold out," he said.
The local's concerns have been echoed by Arizona Republican Party officials, who said the bipartisan immigration bill being pushed by the White House and Mr. Kyl is fracturing rather than "saving" the Republican Party nationally.
Arizona Republican Party officials have received "hundreds and hundreds of calls, e-mails and letters from Republicans angry about the bill," state party Chairman Randy Pullen said. "They were saying, 'I am going to register independent and not give you any more money.' "

i think it is the right thing to do. we need to send a message to the republicans.. it might hurt in the short term, but in the long term i think the beneifts would be tremendous and the party would florish with conservative values.
I think Kyl is a backstabber. He ran on a campaign that toted NO AMNESTY and here is is supporting amnesty. It is a crock of #$%^.
I do not blame the Border Patrol Agents for feeling this way.
Kyl is the front guy for this amnesty because he just won reelection, and has already announced he is not running again at the end of this term. The real question to be answered, at a later date, what has been promised to Kyl by K street, for selling out his country and the tax payers of his state
Speaking as an Independent voter for 20+ years, I think it's about time that people are finally seeing the Dem's and Repub's for what they really are. Traitors!!
I also heard that Border Patrol, and Immigration Dept are not happy because of the 24 hour rule in the proposed bill. That if they don't find any criminal records or background on the illegals within that time frame - they get a go to legalization.
Here's what bothers me about the whole thing. If these politicians were really sincere and serious about trying to keep out the most violent, and such of the illegals... Why the h*ll don't they let these agencies do their jobs the right way? However long it takes...
