Immigrant Passport?

Hi I have a question about my passport..


I applied for job in some particular place..and the people who hired me asked my passport and she copied it..

It that illegal to do that to the employee to ask the passport??

I need your advice and opinion about it..

I am worried..what if she use my passport information??.

Are you trying to say that your employer photocopied your passport with your immigrant visa? If that is the case, it is OK, because that is your proof that you are legally in the U.S.
Depends on where you applied for. Usually the employees who ask for your passport to be copied usually work in government (and as such require a certain level of security clearance). Temp agencies will be more lenient and ask for proof of citizenship (and possibly photo ID).
