Do you think the new immigration bill will be enforced?
Answer:
You mean, like the last one was? Remember when they said they would secure the borders on that one. And now, 12 million later, another tiny band-aid to an arterial bleed.
I hope not!! I've been calling my senators daily telling them to vote NO.
No it won't be, no more then it has been since Ronald Regan let 3 million illegals off the hook. And you can bet the illegals are counting on it.
no more than the laws in place right now. they are quite adequate to prevent and return illegal aliens. much like the gun laws that people always tout. we have plenty of gun laws on the books right now. just enforce them to the people breaking the law. not the lawabiding citizens or immigrants as the case may be.
No. There are so many things that don't even apply to Mexicans (by specific exemption) or to both Mexicans and Canadians, and so many discretionary powers given to exempt enforcement, that it doesn't even really pretend future enforcement.
What it does do is immediately carve the fence enacted into law in half, cut back on the number of border patrol mandated, and 'provisionally' legalize everyone here.
I don't think it will be passed.
No.. the last one back in '86 wasn't. And if you think this one will you are fooling yourself.
It won't be enforced any more than the current laws. Why? because we don't have enough border guards, we don't have the fence up, and we aren't prosecuting the illegals.
If we aren't enforcing the current law, what makes people think that piling on another 1,000,000 words of legislation is going to make things better? It's not. It's another amnesty bill.
Only those parts that are to the betterment of the former illegals and the illegals that are on the way
First lets hope it does not even pass. But if it does, I don't see how it can be. Its has been said that most of the illegal aliens do not trust the government anyway, so without their trust its lost right there.
