More and more agencies ask for Federal training to arrest those illegally here on immigration violations?
What do you think?

Answer:
First and foremost our law enforcement agents should have the legal power to uphold the law..I don't think illegals should be "untouchable" which they are now...if local "unauthorized" officers try to do their job they are bombarded with federal legal tape. Not to mention all the pro illegal organizations who want to protect their 'rights'.
According to the "center for Immigration Studies. There are currently over 400,000 unaccounted for illegal alien criminals with outstanding deportation orders. Those are just the ones apprehended. At least one fourth of these are hard core criminals.
We do not have enough agents that are authorized to control the criminals.
I stand corrected I do believe these numbers came from a report dated 2003..thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Your problem with that is what exactly???
Police officers often take on more work as an excuse to demand a bigger gun, more pay and more fellow officers. Today, we don't have the great crack epidemic of the eighties or the gangsta rap movement of the nineties, so spooks have to be created somehow.
That is actually some good news for a change. Thank you for sharing that. However they do have the power to attempt to or in fact stop "certified acts of terrorism".(i.e illegal immigration protests of May 2006).
The pro legal make excuse after excuse. They want be happy until another 9-11 happens
There obviously isn't enough ICE agents to deal with the problem so I'm all for additional training to do the job that needs to be done.
