Why do illegals insist that we are against them due to their race?
Answer:
Because they think if they play the race-card we will back away from the issue. I am a woman of color and I'm not backing down. It's not about RACE.
They entered the country illegally. What more and how much clearer can we say this?

Because they have seen how the American justice system works and feel that they can get away with anything they want because they are a minority. This is what our country has become.

I don't have any problem with anyone coming to this country. If you want to live here then you should apply for citizenship AND be a contributing member of society (Flip burgers, but do something!)

It is because of the political society. A worry for overpopulation. But to be blantantly honest, I would say that the government has warped our minds into thinking that illegals are bad. If there were people from, let's say, Norway entering the USA..I don't think people would be as against them as the illegal immigrants from Mexico.

Come on, it's pretty obvious that race does play at least small part in this controversy even though most people would deny that.

Illegal immigration has NOTHING to do with race or where they come from. I am just as angry at an illegal Canadian as I am an illegal person from China. If they are illegal, they don't belong here and they are criminals since they are breaking our laws!
Yes they are breaking the law and on top of that getting a lot of things free that we are paying for with our taxes and of course they don't pay taxes since they are illegal.
As for the workers that are doing the jobs that they say others won't do..well lets see if the country falls apart if they are all sent back..ummmm I don't think so.
I do believe it is because they have watched our TV newscasts long enough to realize that they can achieve more if they claim we are "racists". It is strange; the blacks started using "racist" to claim Americans were against them because of skin color (at times, in certain places, that was true; but not at all times and not in all places). What Mexicans are forgetting and their willing audience is forgetting, is that since Mexicans are predominately Spanish by blood, they are the same race; not only the same race, but they are also Celtic in origin.
But, yes; I agree. Our objection is because they are breaking the law; because they have more entitlements than citizens; and because they are a burden to our society.

Have you also noticed that some likes to play that old race card, when all should know that US has never been racist, all one has to do is take a look around, even in their own neighborhoods. An illegal alien is not a race anyway.
Every country has immigration laws and every country enforces them. Therefore any country that enforces its laws, or its citizens WANT their immigration laws to be enforced means it is NOT a racist issue. Period.
People from Canada and Europe enter illegally all the time and the U.S. turn a blind eye to that. Is it because these people are white ?

Why, you might ask? Because you can't tell by looking at a Caucasian where that person is from but Mexicans are visible.

The truth of the matter is that there are ignorant people everywhere. Most illegals insist that its about race because the main word mentioned in this whole immigration debate is "mexico" ,whenever you see a anti immigration march or see someone giving a speech they one thing they say is "mexicans go home". That would make anyone think that it is about race. And of course they may also base it their own personal experience. I have seen enough cases where ignorant people see someone brown skinnned and immediately assumed they are mexican and illegal. I mean isn't that pretty much what most believed was the reason that the incident in L.A was about? and yes i know that for some people its not a matter of race but of legal status,but for others its not.
