Why do people not understand that Cubans are considered refugees and thus are automatically on the fast track to citizenship. They are not considered illegal aliens. Get your facts straight!

Because the coast guard can't do anything until they are within 3 miles of the coast (otherwise they are in international waters) and when they get that close it is sometimes hard to get a boat out to where the immigrants are fast enough. ALso, sometimes they just dont show up on radar to tell us that they are out there since they are floating in what amounts to baskets.
Its the same reason while the US gov, want to legitimized 12 millions illegals, because they need them, so they let them pass, that`s as simple as this...
Of course, they stop a large increasing amount every year, but the fact is that they keep coming in...How to you think... They just have ways to slip into the US, and I am pretty convinced that the US know those slipping holes, but let them open...
Don't be ridiculous. Bush is not the issue. The issue is that our government is out of control. They are unwilling or unable to enforce our immigration laws. That my friend is a good thing for any illegal immigrant, or terrorist, who want to come to the USA.
Because governments bow to capitalism, which benefits from abusing illegal immigrats by paying them slave wage. Your clothes and fruit will be a lot more expensive when illegal immigration is sucessfully controlled.
They keep entering because living the life of a criminal and/or fugitive and sponging off the American social infrastructure is more attractive to them than the hard work and sacrifice of actually fixing the problems that exist in their country of origin.
We need their cheap labor force.
People from those countries are under the impression that it's better to be an illegal immigrant in the USA, than a citizen in their countries of origin.
To rephrase, a huge number of people from those countries think their home countries suck.
