Ex-husband to be committed sex crime...can he be deported?
What are his rights as it pertains to deportation? As of now, immigration has not caught up with him. Would it be wrong to turn him in? What is the right thing to do?

I think it's the right thing to do. By not turning him in you are helping him with his next crime (imagine if it was someone you knew).
Immigration hasn't caught up with him because they have millions of files and no one has red flagged him. Talk to immigration and say that he is a risk to the community especially since he's been convicted.
And go get that divorce. You're saying "soon to be" but he can still use your fully legal marriage to save his behind and help him remain in the USA if you still haven't started the paperwork.
By all means, turn his @#s in. We can only hope they deport him.

Not sure who you would contact. I'm surprised Homeland Security (formerly INS) wasn't there at his sentencing. In no way should he be eligible for a renewal on his residency visa if by you mean 3rd degree that his crime was a felony. If you had his passport, you could burn it and let him try to replace it. Otherwise, I suspect by now he's one of the 12 million illegals that everyone loves and hopes stays for a free citizenship reward.

He may or may not be given a deportation(sp) hearing. If he is, then they will set a date for him to appear and release him. If he doesn't show for the hearing...

At that time i didn't know anything about deportation and green cards. If i had, i would have reported my own father. Unfortunately, my case against him was dismissed due to not enough evidence! F*** the jury! My point is, yes, notify INS because once a sexual predator, always one. I doesn't matter his race, keep in mind you are doing this country a favor and giving him his punishment. Call INS and tell them you fear for your safety. Let them know everything... You are doing the right thing okay. Turn the molester in. Who wants him in this country, Unfortunately, turning him in will not prevent him harming children, but at least he will not be here. I am not heartless, I wish I could advise you to shoot him, and thus save the little Mexican girls as well.
