U.S. needs to concentrate to help legal citizens to simplify immigration process?
Answer:
The immigration issue should be simple. Reward and expeditte the legal process while at the same deport the illegals. This is how most countries handle the issue. But in "the land of the free and home of the brave" it's much the reverse. For U.S. citizens that choose to marry a foriegner the process is borderline harrasement. I never realized how few rights the citizens of this country have until I intiated the process. It disgusts me to see the illegals receive pats on the backs and constant government support. Isnt our government suppose to be "for the people"? Well the truth is- it's not that way. Don't even consider complaining; it just makes matters worse.
why can't both illegal or legal immigrants do it themselves
I agree 100%
Excellent point !
Now that the amnesty bill is dead in the Senate, I would agree that the process for legals should be sped up. There should be a reward for those immigrants trying to do it the right way.
Its an easy answer, legal immigration is regulated for obvious reasons.
That is not true. You really need all the information before you form an opinion. IF YOU ENTER THIS COUNTRY ILLEGAL AND YOUR SPOUSE petitions for you to have legal status here, you can file form I-130 for approval of your case but YOU MUST RETURN TO YOUR HOME COUNTRY FOR PROCESSING. You can only be approved here IF YOU ARE A SPOUSE/ DAUGHTER, SON/ OR PARENT, other wise you are shite out of luck. And if you are not a spouse, it will take about 15 years for you to be approved, IF you are a family member. If you are legally entering this country it will take about 6 months with the caveat that you know what you are doing and/or you have a good attorney.
