This is what happened because of "Ronnie" giving it over that guilt trip he was having in the 80's over his Contras killing innocent people.Everyone is whining about Mexicans,but that amnesty wasn't given to them.
I would like "chain" immigration if those criminals were wearing them around their ankles next to a rock pile.
They know that if it gets out to the American public, every pro-American will be marching the streets against this. I know I will!!! No amnesty... Deport all illegal immigrants!!!
if we did this then we would have the whole country in the united states. there is at least one person in each family here illegally.
I tried asking all those sympathetic to the illegal immigrants, where to draw the line in how many to bring in to America. None of them would answer. I don't think they understood that if we let some illegal immigrants stay, more would follow. The article strengthen my belief that giving Any amnesty would cause a snow ball affect.
I think that the massive increase in population will finish the all ready stressed USA Economy. I love how criminals are REWARDED...ONLY IN AMERICA!
By their actions they are pushing through the North American Union as far as I am concerned. They are threatening the sovereignty of the USA and should be charged with TREASON!

The article does make a good point that amnesty to the current illegal immigrant population does not take into account the potential for them to bring in family members and that this could result in an enormous population boom.
And that an exponentially burgeoning population is probably not welcomed by a lot of people.
But, can you give amnesty w/o allowing them to bring family in? Probably.
Will people be upset if they do? I bet they will be.
Thumbs down on it and our representatives that are not Upholding their Oath of Office to Protect American Citizens First. They are sworn to Uphold the United States Constitution, The Bill of rights and the Law of the Land. Those Representatives should be Impeached for Treason!

I think this is to be expected, if we remain a country where cities can declare "amnesty" for people here illegally.

It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
