Party and get ready to fight some more... This bill was just way too blatantly "over the top". Unfortunately, I think many of the politicians who voted against this bill would "play ball" if it weren't quite so "over the top". Great job people! But, stay vigilant. It was just a battle... not the war.
Now, people need to be vigilant in making sure that the borders are closed!

Yeah!! Yes, it cannot be stopped now...or nothing will change. The people need to push for border protection, and not just against illegal immigrants but for terrorists and everyone who may pose a burden or threat. Very glad...I am not against anyone immigrating to the U.S., but it would be nice if all people would do it in the same manner that all other naturalized citizens did it. I would think that going through the process gives new citizens a sense of pride and accomplishment. When that is bypassed and free passes are given, it just demeans what others have worked hard to accomplish. The naturalization process has been working for a very long time, why change it now for the ones that are pouring in illegally?!
Ian from CT, I agree with you 100%. But that is another problem. Our government could do a lot to help American citizens, but it seems that they benefit financially from many of the things that we all disagree with. And YES I hate talking to people in India as well!!

I am. I am so thrilled. I mean this is 3rd time something has been put up that equals amnesty and an easier path for the NAU that has been voted down. What part of NO doesn't the diehards get? I'm definately one that realizes there needs reform...but reform doesn't mean amnesty for any and all who broke the law. So heck yes I'm going to party. After I write thank you notes to some of the Senators who are hearing what the American people are saying. Lord knows they've worked hard for the people against alot of odds.
Did anyone hear about the politician who said the bill was &#%*? I can't remember the sight but I'm sure you can look it up on CNN> That's were it was broadcasted. I absolutely could not believe some of the issues in the bill. Even the reporter was having trouble not laughing at it. Things like, you can have citzenship in 24 hours even if the backround check isn't complete, and you don't have to learn English for 9 years, they wouldn't have to pay the back taxes but would be eligable for unearned income credit. It's hard to believe our government is run by such complete idiots! Unbeliveable!!
