What happens next after I140 is approved and you have applied for the green card through employment?



Answer:
After I140 is approved you have to wait to file for adjustment of status. You can file for AOS only after visa number is current (and is available). Visa numbers are issued every month and are dependent on country you are from, category of I140 petition, etc. Sometimes the wait can be upto 5 years. Lately visa numbers have gone back.
