yep...the immigration laws sure keep out the wrong people dont they ?
Answer:
And its no wonder, because Canada's borders are wide open! They are larger than our southern borders but since Canadians aren't seen as "invaders", they are not even an issue in the immigration debate, yup it is based on race/culture.
CANADA
VIVA MEXICO Y LA RAZA MEXICANA!!!!!!!!...
PROUD TO BE MEXICAN!!!!!!!!!...
And they were mostly from our ally in this phony war...Saudi Arabia ! We've been lied to from the very beginning !
TREASON !!
Right on first question.
Second question:
The four pilots had been in the United States for extended periods, although none was a legal permanent resident. Some had received more than one temporary visa, most of which were currently valid on September 11, but at least three of them had fallen out of status and were, therefore, in the United States illegally.
Most of them came from Saudi Arabia, then they overstayed their visa's.
Immigration laws aren't perfect ... go to any country and you can find legal immigrants who commit crimes -- that doesn't mean there shouldn't be immigration laws. However, I would ask you to compare the percentage of legal immigrants who commit crimes, and compare that to illegal immigrants who commit crimes. You're going to find in most cases the illegal immigrant category will be significantly higher than the legal immigrant category.
Also, I find the entire connotation of this question to be overtly racist/bigoted.
What if I were to say ...
"Long Live the United States and Long Live White People!"
"Proud to be White!"
You'd be flogging me as a racist ... wouldn't you? And I would agree because that is a racist thing to say. My question is why is okay for you to do it? There seems to be this common belief that only white people can be racist, when I've noticed minorities can be more racist than even the most bigoted white southerner.
Take a look in the mirror ... you might see in yourself the exact same thing you're accusing other people of being.
____
I agree ... I think a giant wall on the Mexican Border makes about as much sense as building a snowman in Death Valley. It's a stupid idea. However, I don't know that I would call it racist ... I don't understand where you're inferring the racist connotation from it? Seems to me one form of racist behavior is injecting race even where it isn't an issue, and seeing racism where it doesn't exist (creating antagonism).
Lets think about this logically (even if you don't agree with 'the Wall') ... where do 90% of the illegal immigrants cross the border? From Mexico. Now, which border is longer? The Canadian Border (its over twice as long). So, from that standpoint it makes perfect empirical sense to build a wall along the Mexican border (vis-a-vis the Canadian Border).
A giant wall isn't going to keep the immigrants out ... they're not coming because its easy to cross -- they come because of the economic incentive.
Then they ask why is it RACISM when they want to build a wall against the Mexican borber but not the Canadian border in the name of homeland security..
What midcenturyde singer said is true immigration is all about race.
Mexico is a good example they use thier military to keep people from South America from coming into Mexico. I wonder how the Mexicans would feel if illegal people paraded around with flags of their homeland and then demanded "their" rights say, in Mexico City. Better stay home and work politically to make US laws that make immigration to US fair for all people.
I suppose we wall on Canadaian border since they do not come here by the millions disrepecting our laws and then parading with Canadian flags. But much more security is need all around our borders for sure.
