How many armed troops would it take to conquer America?
Yes, the question is ridiculous, and should anger you. Because America would fight to the death to repel such an invasion. We could defeat it, and we would.
So how is the current "invasion" any different? Yes, we can argue costs and benefits all day. but it seems like a fundamental difference is that the government does not have the WILL to enforce present law.
Many in government (and others too) say that "we can't deport all these people." I would suggest that any politician - Democrat, Republican, or even the President - who says they can't get the job done RESIGN, and let someone who CAN do it fill their office instead.
I hate when I get strident, but there it is. What are your thoughts?

All it would take is to inforce our laws and stop the government assistance.But to many corporations claim they need the cheap labor,whitch is a joke if the immigration bill gives them amnesty,Do they honestly think they will still get cheap labor if the immigrants become legal?You do make a great point,I will not vote for anyone at election time that says yes to this obsurd bill.We tried this when Reagan was president,it was supposed to be a one time thing in exchange for our security...WHERE THE HELL IS THE SECURITY?

It would take ONE BILLION people plus 2000 robots with lasers for eyes, 200 monkey-bear hybrids, 23 rabid dogs, 16 cloned Rosie's with fire shooting from their butts, and one large banana.
When they start coming at you with guns, you are no longer obligated to round them up, ask them what they are doing and then spend millions hauling them back from whence they came. You just shoot them.

the problem is the toothpaste is allready out of the tube. there are too many of them to deport. many have come up here, had kids, and those kids are citizens. you can't deport citizens.
The answer is to go after the employers that hire them. Make the penalty SEVERE. When the opportunities dry up for those that come here illegally dry up, they will leave on their own.
Go spend a few years living in the poverty that many south and central americans live in. Go live in a hut with no money education skills and a family to support, with the only job you can get paying 10cents an hour. Then complain about immigration and such, you inconsiderate fuc.

Bush is more concerned with screwing up the middle east instead of securing America. This is evident by the fact that the borders are just as porous as they were the day before 9/11.
As for deporting the illegals, it's completely doable if a person with enough balls put a plan into motion. But then the feel-goods would whine about how deportations would split up families, et al.
Too bad. The illegals have committed a crime, and need to pay the price for their crime.

I believe that this country was founded on loose immigration standards. And this wonderful country of ours was called 'civilizing,' because in one generation, someone could work their way out of poverty and make a decent life for themselves and their families.
With that said, illegal immigration is illegal. It is wrong. It should be stopped. I disagree with the idea that we need to deport all the illegal immigrants who are here, but let's start with finding out who they are and what they are currently doing here. There is a great desire to hire skilled laborers from Mexico, and I am not enough of a sucker to think that a worker Visa is going to keep them from staying in stateside illegally when the Visa expires. Let's accept more legal, skilled laborers into our country.
Anyone illegal immigrant mooching off of a broken welfare system or similar support systems in large cities should be deported. We should not be supporting their children through school... We should not have programs to support their language development... unless they are legal!
How much amnesty should be granted? If they are working, our economy must need them. Let illegal immigrants get into the system, state what gainful employment they currently have, get it all on the books. Then stop the flow! Punish companies that hire illegals but make the worker to citizen process faster. (not easier!)
This is what I heard from someone living in china through an email I got. With in 6 yrs China and Russia will invade the US through commercial airlines. Think about it, planes loaded down with combat troops coming into all major cities at the same time, it want take them long to have the city specially if they have the airport. Police want stand a chance against fully loaded combat troops. Our armies are all over the world , except for what few is here. The only thing that will matter is the american himself since most have guns it will be an all out war for our country and existence. Hang on...things are changing in the next 7 yrs. Doom and Gloom
