Question about getting a US passport?

They are taking 3 to 4 months
It should only take 1 month under standard processing, however, you can expedite for an extra fee to receive it is a couple of days.
go to the state department web page and see what they are quoting. It said I would get it in about 2 weeks on expedited processing, but I got it in one week. Now that a receipt and the old ID suffices to Canada and Mexico, the backlog might be less, but I don't know.
You can get it in one day if you walk it through and pay fees, but you need to have a ticket leaving the country within 2 weeks.
i filed my app for my passport 2 months ago and still havent gotten it yet. I leave for Scotland in 2 weeks and hope that I get it before I am supposed to leave
it is taking forever. not matter the state. go to www.travel.state.gov they jut temp suspened the new passport rule. pls read the info.
Make an appointment over the phone at the washington d.c passport office. If it is an emergency you could get same day, if not you could get in 4 weeks.
