A widespread identity theft investigation has found 115 individuals using the same stolen

At least 26 individuals throughout Florida were arrested on charges of using fraudulent identification to gain employment, Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink said Thursday.
"Employers need to know that this issue goes beyond finding workers to fill jobs. This is about the safety of our citizens," Sink said. "Identity theft is a huge and costly problem, and employers who turn a blind eye pose a very real and serious threat to the public."

As huge as the stolen identity problem is that our 'leaders' in Washington are allowing to happen, that is pale in comparison to the trillions of dollars, net, it will cost us in social security and other benefits given to anchor babies and their descendants, and to amnesty recipients (including gang members!). The Heritage Foundation tells of the real costs to U.S. taxpayers.
The policies coming straight from the White House and Congress are:
1) Do not stop illegal alien Mexicans from entering our country--They will wipe out the middle class, transferring wealth to the upper class from reduced wages, and from pushing the benefits (tax dollars) onto taxpayers;
2) Do not stop illegal alien Mexicans from entering our country--Though they force city citizens to flee to the countryside--filling in vernal pools, destroying our forests, wide open spaces, millions of species of wildlife (including our songbirds)--our 'leaders' will make progress toward the North American Alliance, combining Mexico, U.S. and Canada WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE CITIZENS.
If our 'leaders' really wanted to solve the problem, they would FIRST institute a NATIONAL ID CARD, required to work or receive any benefits. (Walk into any welfare office, sit down in the waiting area for awhile, and you will see approximately 90% Hispanic, 9% African American, and 1% (if that) European & Asian American.)
Secondly, they would put illegal employers on notice. You are going to pay tens of thousands of dollars for each illegal alien you hire, and go to jail.
Thirdly, they would investigate and arrest the border patrol agents who are becoming millionaires in cash overnight helping illegal alien Mexicans into our country. And the border patrol agents who are ethical?...well, they wouldn't be putting them in jail, that's for sure.They would allow them to do their jobs.
Fourthly, WHERE IS THE LAW PREVENTING TENS OF MILLIONS OF ANCHOR BABIES??...WIPING OUT OUR MIDDLE CLASS??
TAKE AWAY THE MOTIVATION TO COME TO OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY--NATIONAL ID CARD TO WORK OR RECEIVE BENEFITS FIRST. And don't allow our 'leaders' to up the number of legal immigrants--same effect on our environment, on our middle class, on our financial futures (except for the wealthy corporate execs and shareholders who reap the benefits).

You realize American citizens do this, too, right? Let them work legally and this ceases to be an issue.
*Edit: How does amnesty negate what I just said? I never argued that amnesty would keep people from coming over the border. (I never even used the word amnesty. So, um, what?)
I'm saying that if you let people immigrate into the United States freely all the time, then there'd be no need to steal Social Security numbers in order to work. There'd be no need to hide, right? Illegal immigrants are stealing SSNs because people like you refuse to let anyone who wants to work here work here.

I hear what you are saying, however, employers and state governments ARE the problem. Here in arizona for example the local govt is all about "Fixing" the illegal immigration problem but absolutely refuses to enforce any type of law that would fine or punish those that would hire them in the first place. We dont need a wall. We dont need to deport. Just like any natural organism, if you eliminate the food source the pest goes away. We need to hold state and business accountable instead of wasting all this money.
most of these people come here in search of a better life and they're willing to work for it...we need to streamline the immigration process so that they can become citizens faster...we've got enough to share
The situation is out of control because the liberals in this country allow it. Any Congressional elected official that supports illegal immigration or this recent bill that supports it should be recalled as they DO NOT represent the American people, but rather they represent Mexico. I am ashamed of them all..
If they get cut off welfare, food stamps, wic, free healthcare and all the other freebies, they will probaby deport themselves. OH!! and close Walmart.

I agree. My friends 17 year old daughter just had her name and SS# stolen and used by someone in another state. Her first job,and already she is in trouble with the IRS for not reporting all her income. It is happening to many people all over the country and it is costing them dearly to try to clear their name and get their life back. Something has to be done.
