Basically say...ok...those that are here illegally can stay if your back ground is ok...but you can't bring every member of your family here. Only intermediate family. (mom dad kids) We are going to enforce our laws. We are going to secure our borders. We are going to make sure that only those that are actually productive members of society with no record or gang affiliation. Anyone who has used welfare benefits..well they can go (opposite of stay) to.

To stop this madness, I would agree to your proposal, however when #1 and #4 are done, then we would do #5 then #3, then #2. I think you would have a workable solution. Maybe you should run for office. You have more common sense then those "morons" in Congress and in the White House.

Lastly, Sway (the first comment) you're right there is no guarantee that they would follow the other laws. Just as there is no guarantee that we will follow all of our own laws. That's what punishment ie. jail is for.
No. They can't pass a background check because they have already violated a law by being here illegally. 6% of our prison population is illegal immigrants- we need to free up room for our own pedophiles. There are too many reasons to list here, but suffice it to say, I would oppose it.
Mexico must be hell on earth so many want to leave. Our government needs to work with theirs to give these people a reason to stay home. i would say yes, my husband was brought here when he was just a child, he grew up here in the united states. he really didnt have a choice of weather or not to break the law of crossing over. his parents fucked up his chances to get an education, because they did not enroll him in school, he is 23 years old now, and a very hard worker, a great provider. but he is still here illigally. he has nothing in mexico if he goes back, where will he live, there isnt any work, where will he work,how will he eat? we are trying to seek residency, at the moment so that we can live without the fear of waking up one day and never seeing eachother. yes i believe we should legalize.
