Have you ever wondered how spoken language first got started?
Answer:
It all started as a way to score with the hot ladies.
First the cavemen started grunting to each other and eventually it turned into the Spanish language.
lmao at antis
i guess the sounds they made eventually turned into words. antis the reason we have different languages is because when god destroyed the tower he decided to create all languages so people, friends couldn't understand each other. pay attention to the oldest history book, the bible. you might learn something.
Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden - "Isn't this flower pretty? Look at that furry thing. What should we call it?"
The first words were spoken by a women...literal translation "NO!"
ice ice baby too cold too cold.
Adam and Eve could talk when God created them.
You and I aren't the only ones.
First, our brains have the capacity of use language -- this is something that evolved over a long time.
It's not something people consciously decided to do.
The creators of new languages, we currently believe, are children -- if there isn't a full language available to them, and there are a group of them, they'll create a language.
(Groups of deaf kids, in cities, developed sign languages; kids where a mixture of pidgin languages, but not one full language, cobble together the bits of pidgin and available languages and develop a full language.)
One current theory is that we used gestures, and combinations of gestures and sounds, before we had fully developed languages.
It would be interesting to really understand, but, of course, all we can do is speculate and conjecture -- based on what other, closely-related critters do, and on physical evidence.
It IS a brain-breaker.
