What does immigration officer do if he finds out someone is here illegally? does he stamp passport?

my friend from India has overstayed her student visa and is now scared to leave the U.K. in case they will stop her at the border and confiscate her passport. She wants to come back later and is scared they will mark her passport. Does anybody know what happens in this case?

Answer:
There is usually no immigration control when you leave the UK. So no stamps.

Be careful next time, and don't overstay.

Take care
If they notice the overstay will be logged both on the passport and computer
He return to that country from where you have gone
They won't confiscate her passport as she is not British. They will let her go out of the country but she will of course need to reapply to come back in. If you have any sense at all, you will urge her to do this legally, otherwise you will be caught up in the same mesh of lies and deceit as she is.
go send her home dont u think she is taken the piss by staying to long, inform the police and have her removed ,, thats why we have rules your as bad as her if u dont
nothing. she can go to the immigration wearing a tshirt that says she is an illegal alien and believe me, nothing gonna happen. If she leaves the US, she will be banned for entering the US for 10 years. So dont let her leave the US and dont commit a crime and she will be okay.
Look, she can't just stop on and hope the problem will go away. She will have to return, and she should do so as soon as possible because if she delays she may be caught and taken into detention. OK, it's unlikely to happen, but still not a risk worth taking.

Nothing bad will happen to her on departure if Immigration notice that she has overstayed. The chances are pretty good that they won't check her visa (they are mainly concerned with arrivals rather than departures), but if they do spot it they will mark her passport to signal that she overstayed. This would cerrtainly affect her chances of getting another visa, but I'm afraid there is no way of avoiding this.

She should arrange to return as soon as she can, and just hope that they don't pick up on her expired visa. If they do, she will find it difficult to return, at least unless she gets a new passport.
What happens at the exit border will be nothing to the detention and removal which will occur if we catch you. Leave before it is too late.
chance...
