When this bill pass, what changes will we be facing?
Will we be force to learn spanish just to live in our own world?
Right now the black people are the majority but then that will change when this bill comes in to place. They will need to sat back and let the Spanish speaking and Mexicans become the most favorite and honored race. The things that were once good for them will change.
The law in which people had to hire the minority people will now be for the whites. because the portions of the American races will be completely change.
people are not looking at this bill and how it will change American way of life.
They will not look at how this bill with change America and there will be a lot of changes -whether or not they will be good or not will not be know completely until the year of 2009 or2010. So the new President will have to deal with a lot of mess that came from this immigrant bill.

Two things, this bill is not going to pass, and second, blacks are not a majority, and never will be.
Bill won't pass. And we as a nation need to start a strong movement to save our language. It has nothing to do with being racist. Its a common thread and we need to save it. My family came over from the old country and learned it, so should EVERY immigrant coming over today. It just makes me sick.
I don' think the bill will pass through the house. I refuse to learn Spanish because I feel that if I went to another country I would have to learn their language (learning my heritage German). Besides if less than 15% of this country's population cannot learn English, then they really have no busy trying to come here...and that is the true pure laziness, not the Americans are too lazy to do those jobs. I'm not lazy, I work a job where I use my brain!
so you are concerned about the bill passing- because "Spanish speaking and Mexicans" may become the most favorite and honored race.. Where do you get that from? As far as I know minorities are really not the favored race...This is not a race issue, its about a legal/illegal status.
Not much is going to change economically. The people that truly rule this country (1% of rich whites) will continue to rule. The others will continue to slave away. What will change is that this will continue to destroy the protection that middle class has had through Unions.
The destruction of unions will cause the middle class to slide down to lower class. The liberal answer to all of this will be socialism, which will seem like a good answer at that points. The problem will be is that all services currently enjoyed by middle class (health) will deteriorate.
Basically, people are going to work harder and pay more taxes to recieve less.
Plus crime rate will soar.
The bill requires that anyone moving from a Z visa to a Greencard status must take and pass an english class and a civics class on American government. This is a far more significant requirement than any immigrant has ever had placed on them. Citizenship has often required the basic civics test, but now simply to get a greencard immigrant will have to pass an English class.
Just FYI. I also disagree with the Bill; however, I do think we should all take the time to read it in its entirety (its boring) and understand what it requires. To say that we will be forced to live in their world after the bill is simply not paying attention to the substantial assimilation provisions that it has.
I'm a Mexican that can speak PERFECT English, ( from the looks of it, I can spell it better also).I can also speak Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
What is the "American" way of life ... for all I know "America" is made of many different cultures.
I've assimilated to this culture and have adopted customs that aren't mine either, do you see me complaining? Not at all! I'm actually very glad to learn about different cultures. whether it's Jewish, Japanese, Chinese, African-American etc .. I could really care less where you come from as long as you're a good human being.
Most likely there will be a violent rebellion and retaliation against the invaders themselves.
If they don't learn English, then they will become isolated. Their children will surely learn English, they will be more able to.

Blacks are not the majority, and last I heard they are not the most favored and honored race.
This bill is going to do something with 12 million people living here illegally. Whether this bill passes or not, something has to be done about them. You cannot ignore 12 million people. You can't deport them because of the cost, and the fact they will just come back and keep coming back.

I speak perfect English and have assimilated too...Please stop judging good Mexican people, like we are all criminals.My brother and father have served this country, and we consider US our homeland.Stop making this a culture war!
