I think that you mean what would you tell them about why people wish they would leave... Why, in heaven's name, would any of them really want to go back to live in the places they came from? I'd be more inclined to tell them how much better off they are here!
I wouldn't say a thing. I feel fortunate that I wasn't born in a third world country wracked with war and famine. Who am I to tell someone I (a descendant of European Immigrants) am more entitled to be here than they are? As far as I am concerned the only ones that should be able complain are the Native Americans... but thats a different story all together.
