How do illegal aliens make a living if so many are on Welfare?
Dad goes to work and gets paid under the table (no records to track).
Mom applies for Food Stamps, Medicaid, Housing assistance, Utility assistance, etc.
Mom conveniently leaves off any information about where dad is.
Housing and welfare is all in Mom's name...any cars/trucks are in the name on the fraudulent/counterfeit documentation Dad uses when regeristering the plates.
For more savings...no insurance!
Answer:
You can't be serious. Have you any idea what these people go through to get and stay here? Do you honestly think it's some kind of party being on food stamps, welfare, and medicaid? And do you really think the "anchor baby" gets the parents some kind of free pass? These people live on an income that would make you cry, and they do it to stay alive.
If all illegal immigrants were magically deported tomorrow, do you have a clue how much more YOU would have to pay for basic groceries and services? In addition, are you aware of how much more of our federal budget does to weapons and "defense" projects than welfare? THAT's where your money goes -- for projects that kill.
Hate mongers who run around spewing the idea that illegal immigrants are living "the good life," being lazy and making money off our tax dollars are *ridiculous*.
Check your facts! While you're at it, check out your family tree to see why you feel you have more of a right to citizen status than anyone else living in this country.
You hit the nail on the head! We taxpayers are the losers.
Good question, in the meantime we are going broke supporting these illegals
Stop spreading hate and lies!! It's impossible nowadays for illegals to get welfare or food stamps.
If you're going to make ridiculous charges back them up with facts and real sources, not your racist imaginiation
Undocumented workers and others are not eligible for welfare, food stamps, housing assistance, utility assistance, Medicaid or any other social benefits. This is a huge myth perpetrated by the boobs who are clueless.
You must be a citizen or a LEGAL resident to apply for and receive these benefits and must prove it.
If you want someone to pick on about all this, look at the deadbeat Americans who sit on their butts their whole life, refuse to work, have baby after baby, collect welfare, food stamps, Medicaid and other benefits. These low-lifes outnumber illegals ten fold.
Get your priorities straight here.
Well DARIMINI76, your family tree has nothing to do with it. Our ancestors came here and became legal citizens, not freeloaders. It doesn't matter where you came from but if you want to live and work here do it the legal way and pay taxes and not suck our welfare system dry.
You are very perceptive... Try all this in Mexico and see how far you get.
Any one who believes immigrants collect welfare are retarded. That's just lies created by people like you.Welfare is almost impossible to get even if you are a citizen!
the same way that many americans on welfare do.either the wife does babysitting in the household or the husband works at a company where money is paid upfront and not reported to the government. I really don't know why the government doesn't do a stricter background check on everyone entering the welfare system. I'm tired of having to pay for teenage mothers who's bfs/husbands/significant others are riding around in a better can than what i have and have gold chains all around their necks.
THe premise is basically true on most of your post. Albeit as others have said Federal assistance is (appropriately) limited to citizens.
However there is a ton of private 501c3 non-profit organizations (nationally the United Way, Red cross, and thousands of local ones as well)...and those dole out food , household items, medical care, cash, etc. So your point is valid even if the exact sources are not correctly identified.
And don't even get me started on the healthcar situation! There isn't enough time for that one to be done full justice.

They have to be a legal resident to qualify. Illegals do not qualify.
Also, even a legal resident who is not yet a citizen does not qualify for TANF or SSI. A legal resident can also apply for childrens health insurance that they do have to pay for. They can also apply for medicaid for needy families.
The MAXIMUM a family of two can get in Food Stamps is $284. Most will not get anywhere near that much for a months worth of food.

Mom doesn't qualify for welfare unless she's a citizen, not an illegal. Also, the longest one can receive welfare for is 60 months in their entire lifetime.
I wish people actually knew what they were talking about when they post things like this.
And, as far as the "anchor baby' goes, the government could care less if you have a child here. They will deport it along with you, or put it in foster care here. A child here does not automatically give you legal status. Your child can petition for you, once they reach the age of 21, so long as they have made over $17,000 a year for the last 3 years. Also, parents are only a 'first priority' not an automatic greencard. The waiting time is as long as ten years from the date of petition in some areas.
Get facts straight, then post.
In addition, welfare users are the lowest they've been since the 1970's. Three states account for 70% of welfare users in separate state programs. Want to know what those three states are?
California at 9%
New York at 25%
and Virginia at a whopping 75%
New York and Virginia aren't exactly known for their high immigrant numbers.
http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/ofa/annu...
There's a page you can look at to see what percentage of welfare recipients come from your state. Page 6 of that document shows what percentage come from each state.
Here are some higher hispanic population states for ya
New Mexico : 0.9% of entire amount on welfare are from NM
Texas: 5.9% (Note, not per capita, these are total numbers)
Arizona 2.6%
Undocumented workers and others are not eligible for welfare, food stamps, housing assistance, utility assistance-That's not true, on Lou Dobbs,it showed in OK illegals were collecting these benefits and the state admitted they were collecting these benefits after Dobbs exposed them.
Very few immigration judges will deport parents of anchor babies. That is wrong. Let them take children with them. The child can return as an adult.
Yes, Mom can apply for aid and most do.
In California, a legal can apply for Food Stamps and can draw food stamps for the household. Illegal alien members of the household will not be reported to ICE.
From a FAQ Social Services site
21. Does everyone in my home have to be a U.S. citizen to get Food Stamps?
No. United States citizens and some aliens admitted for permanent residency may qualify for Food Stamps. Those in the county illegally do not qualify, but the citizen or legal resident family members of an illegal alien may still get Food Stamps, even if the illegal alien is in the home. Illegal aliens in the home are not reported to the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
Others use false documents to obtain benefits. They misuse our education and health care system. The cash they earn under the table is how they buy new SUVs.
Why would you post this if you have no clue what you are talking about! You just look like an ill educated person. Go look into these programs before you start talking out of your bottom! Absolutely none of this would work! So educate yourself before you form an opinion or take a stand. You have the Internet at your disposal USE IT!
Exactly!
They live 6 families to an apartment.
Thats how.
I don't believe they are on welfare. You seem to know a lot about them. Have you been talking to your relatives?
