What are the chances of me not being able to bring my baby back home to canada?
Answer:
depends on where you are coming back from
Doesn't he/she automatically have dual citizenship if born somewhere else?
Can you provide more details?
I.e. whera is your baby from?
what country are you in right now?
why do you think you would not be able to bring your baby with you?
do you want to bring your baby to visit or to live there?
If you are a citizen of canada, you won't have a problem. It isn't like they will confiscate your child.
There might be some paperwork to get your child a SIN card.
Social Insurance Number*
The only way you will not be able to bring your baby back home or any other place for that matter is if your baby is involved in a custody battle. You will need to wait for the decision before going anywhere.**
I think I will go with spotter...If there is a custody battle over the child, you just have to wait until a decision is made on who the child should stay with.Canada would ofcourse respect the decisions of a law court.
Wait a min..that's your flesh & blood! why you, can't bring your Baby back to canada? It doesn't make sense..cuz yur baby should be granted citizenship from the day he/she is born, thats if you and your partner are canadian citizens.
Im not sure entirely. Perhaps a good immigration lawyer would help. For some reason I thought a child of citizens of different countries recieved dual citzenship.
I could be wrong, but unless the father objects to you taking your baby out of the country or you all ready have a custody agreement and you taking the baby would violate that agreement. I would think that it would not be a problem.
I think if you take the baby across the border without consent of your husband it is called kidnapping. do some investigating first
