No, because it makes it easier for them to live here, like sanctuary policies. We need to cut all benefits except emergency medical care prior to deportation, and ASK everyone immigration status on getting a ticket. That could hardly be racial profiling, if EVERYONE is ALWAYS asked.
I pay a ton for collision insurance because of all the illegals driving illegally in Los Angeles. But the cost is nothing next to the cost to my children of their failing education in OUR schools due to overcrowding and programs being cut to fund ESL for children of people illegally here.
We need to recognize the incentive this web of benefits and 'looking the other way' creates to bring people here, and the cost of THAT on our schools and health care. It goes way beyond and is much greater than the cost of uninsured drivers.

None of them would be on the road, insured or uninsured, if who they are buying their vehicle from would refuse to sell to them without a driver's license and proof of insurance. They save their money up, find another illegal who has a car for sale, give them cash, no questions asked and off they go - those who do this for them need to be fined $20,000 everytime they do it!

What makes you think they carry insurance. They might it to get tags, but once they get the tags they stop the payments.

No,they are here illegally and by giving them a license,they now have a privilege meant for only citizens and it makes it easier for them to conduct daily business. Besides that, do you really think someone who has already broken the law is now going to respect it and pay a good amount of money for insurance?

Yes, in some ways it would benefit society by allowing illegals to have licenses.
What about the greater harm that is created by doing so? In effect, you are allowing illegals another opportunity to continue gaining benefits from being in a place they don't belong.
We take away the right (and privilege) to vote from convicted felons. Why? Because they broke the law and in doing so, certain rights/privileges are taken away as punishment for their crime.
We don't allow illegals to have drivers licenses. Why? Because it is an additional undeserved privilege that is gained from an unlawful act that was committed.
Any time we give additional privileges to someone who has done something illegal, we are in fact encouraging and supporting this behavior. This makes the problem worse as time goes by.
Open your eyes and see the bigger problem.

The symptom you are talking about is the uninsured illegal alien. No Driving is a privilage , not a right. People are already paying sky high prices just for insurance, not to mention repairs etc for their cars etc..
What happens if one of thes uninsured illegals seriously huirts or kills someone who is a citizens here and has insurance? Who will pay for the damage done to the illegal's car and injuries?

In some way yes, becouse i they have lincense they can get their responsabilities when they have a car accident an not to run awy like they usually do. The other persons involved would get some benefits too. But right know if you get in a car accident that involves a illegal you dont get nothing, becouse no license not insure. The goverment have to realize that there alot of immigrants that do not have linces becouse theyre illegal, eventhough, that dont affect anyone just if you get in an accident, if the people dont pay you, what you going to do.
