Student visa?

i want to enter medical school next year do i have renovate my student visa or can i apply for citizenship?

Answer:
You definately can't apply for citizenship! Well.you can, but they aren't going to give it to you. You have to be a permanent resident (get a green card) for 3-5 years before you can even apply for citizenship. You will need to renew your student visa...unless you can apply for permanent residency by getting married or through another family member. You should ask your school immigration councelor about it. Every school with have at least one person who deals with the international students.

In what country? In the US you need to be a resident on a green card for 5 years (three if married to a US citizen) before being a citizen. You don't get residence towards being a citizen by being on a student visa. Generally students go for h1b visas and while working on those apply for change of status to a green card. However, that won't let you go to medical school.

I think you will need to renew your visa.

I am going to assume that you already have a valid passport, a valid F-1 visa and a valid I-120. You can either apply for another F-1 visa if it is expired or about to expire. You can enrolled into medical school and have the school issued an I-120, SEVIS form. Remember you have to go to a port of entry so the officer can stamp your passport, I-120, and issued a new I-94.
