Is anyone worried about the us-canadian border?
yes, you can make the argument that there are way more illegal immigrants from mexico than canada (which is absolutely true). but many people don't realize that illegal immigration is becoming more of a problem on the canadian border. america would have a hard time finding illegal mexican immigrants if they were white and spoke perfect english - which is the reason why many people think illegal immigration is non-existant on our northern border. an illegal immigrant from canada who is white and speaks perfect english blends more well in america than a spanish-speaking hispanic. hypothetical question - if their were millions of white english speaking canadians crossing the border, wouldn't america have a harder time locating them? do we care?
2.) drug traffic: again, more of a problem on our mexican border. but since cuban cigars, marijuana, and cheap prescription pills can be found in canada not in us....

i have been to mexico and canada. when i went to mexico no one checked me going in it was only coming back.
when i went to canad they check me going in but not coming back

Nobody is worried about the Canadian border except for an elite few, you included. We have 10 to 15 million illegals from Mexico and Central/South America who are supplanting our culture and language and nullifying our immigration laws. How many illegals are coming from Canada and what are their negative effects on us? I'll grant that you are fairly articulate and informed, but your perspective lacks fundamental logic.

2) I have never seen anyone wanting to be an illegal immigrant, or ever heard of one, coming from British Columbia. (Its my little part of the world)
3) If there were millions of white English speaking Canadians crossing the border, all the other Canadians might be more happy. White, English speaking Canadians always seem to be in the minority when I visit.
4) Drug traffic? Do I feel compelled to pray to the border patrol, "Oh you magnificent men in green, protectors of our land, please save me from the illegal grass."? No. Sorry. And besides, what's wrong with a cigar? Just because their leader is a dick, doesn't mean we can't enjoy the stuff they make. And as far as cheap prescription medications? More power to the people who buy there. Perhaps if they would make it easier on our retired folks who are forced to pay huge prices, they wouldn't feel compelled to look for alternate sources.
it's so funny how hypocritical people can be. i bet the same people who oppose illegal immigration would be the first people to illegally cross the canadian border IF and IF america sees another draft..
BTW, illegal immigration is illegal immigration period. it doesn't matter if you are a rich canadian businessman or a poor mexican worker. if you feel like you are being forced to learn spanish, talk to the seneca and navajo tribes about them being forced to learn english. or how the english europeans were destroying the french signs in québec city.

somewhat, but they in good faith try to stop it as well from their side and the economics don't encourage it so much. They have free education and health care. The huge flow is from the south. If ever the flow from the south diminishes to the point where it doesn't so dwarf that from the north, that from the north will have higher profile. But UNLIKE in the south, in the north there is attempt to enforce our laws at the border, already.
