And so I offer the following. OFFICIALLY there are over 12 1/2 million Mexicans here in this country. UNofficially there are probably at least 3 or 4 more mil.
And so we have to live with it. And it is difficult to live with HATE.
So let's just stop the hate and work within this 'illegal' war to the best benefit of everyone.

There are illegals here from every nation. But so called Brown nations are the biggest offenders. Americans don't care that they are brown. They just want the laws obeyed. The first thing Illegals did when they came here was thumb their nose at the laws put in place to protect Americans. Since we aren't protected by these invaders and since they take to the streets and protest , demanding rights that illegals are in entitled Americans have become angry. It isn't racist. Illegals obviously don't care about our laws or our country. There are laws in place to protect Americans. And if we elect the right people we can make America safer and stronger. If the same number of "brown " people were here legally Americans would welcome them. Every time someone is in the wrong they claim racial injustice. I for one am tired of this lie. You are wrong.
'Come now' look at the LAUSD thirty years ago and today. Look at the ratio of ESL to low test scores and the drop out rate. Look at the year round schedules, classes with over 40 students in them, teachers on emergency credentials and programs for our own children and achievers cut across the board to fund ESL and 'intervention programs' for children of those illegally here. The government tells us that 50% of all Mexican nationals in this country are illegally here. I don't need to know which individuals those are to have the impact on our schools be overwhelmingly clear.

I have grandchildren that are Mexican. Love them beyond reason almost. I am sick of the racial excuse that allows people of any color to get away with flying their flag in place of the American flag. We do not have to live with it. People are sick of it, and I think this new amnesty bill not getting passed proved it. I think your attitude is really bad. You said yourself that you live in a nice area. My home used to be in a nice area as well. Not anymore. I can't even take my grandchildren to the local park because of the gangs that hang there. You know, yesterday morning I noticed something about my myself that I thought was rather weird. Being that since I first discovered this site about 3 to 3-1/2 weeks ago, basically to seek feedback on another topic.
Only to have gotten stuck on this immigration Q&A forum (if it can be considered as one) because of the misconceptions that both sides clearly now have placed on the tables!
And since have been debating right along with opponents just as they have. But mainly for being misinformed on the true nature of what really defines my nationality(not my skin color) which is American of Mexican decent. And having lost my last relative apart my own family(mother) couple of years ago. Sort of led to my mixed identity! Then yesterday as I went through several websites pertaining to both opposing flags. It dawned on me that when it comes to dying (militarily and otherwise) that I much rather be draped with the flag that has been part of the life that my dear parents legally obtained for us! So there you have it. I am proud to be American of Mexican decent! And I am sure that was my parents goal.
Have you lost your job due to illegal immigration?, because I know quite a few people in the construction industry who have. Have you gone into a place where nobody is speaking English and when you speak it you're given a dirty look?. Have you gone into a Social Security office and you're the only white person in the place?, because I have. Only being able to look at things in compartmentalized terms and not being able to extrapolate them out and see them in a
