Why do Mexicans think that only white republican Americans are against illegal immigration?

My husband is Hispanic. He was born here and his parents came here legally. They became American citizens, learned the language and built a business. THEY ARE against illegals. They hate the illegals because they say these people gave all Hispanics a bad name.

No kidding, there are even Mexican-Americans who descend from Legal Aliens that oppose Illegal Aliens.
A chat buddy who is half Mexican herself is very strongly opposed to Illegal Aliens.
I read an article from a man of Mexican descent who said he was sick of hearing whining in regard to Illegal Immigrants being deported back to where they came from.
He also made a good point about the time frame in the 1930s when Illegal Aliens and their U.S. born Children were deported to Mexico (of course the U.S. born Children were legally allowed to come back since they were American by Birth), and the guy of Mexican descent said to those U.S. born persons who got deported the words of "hey you made it back didn't you?"

I live in the US legally and it's very sad that some ignorant people think that I'm just a mexican taking the opportunities of others...
I pay my taxes, I paid a lot of money for tuition in college, I never received a loan, and my status is legal because I have been doing things the right way.

I don't know about Mexicans at large, but illegal latinos here are largely misinformed (at best) to uninformed. In the power elite, white, male politicians are getting all the airtime condemning our corrupt enforcement debacle, but their constituents -- of ALL ethnic groups -- have a sense of fair play and don't respect foreigners who come here with an arrogant entitlement mentality .
