Why were the British not consulted about multi million multiculturalism?

Personally i hate that word "multiculturalism" there is only one culture to be integrated with in Britain and that is the British culture. If people like the Pakistani or Iranian culture or whatever, then go and live there, because we like to watch our cricket and eat fish and chips without getting blown up by a load of nutters.
We've got Polaris and we're not consulted. We went to war in Iraq and weren't consulted. Perhaps they'll drop the bomb on them all and not consult us. (I hope they do)

they should have been. I dont think serious thought was given to this issue before it was mainstreamed into US society. The best example you can give is look at US universities where this thing was started. The Indians sit with the indians the Jews with the Jews the blacks with blacks. I dont think its racist people just automatically hang out with people they have something in common with. There is no real attempts to integrate thought or build something. Its all just factions and regionalism.

Being given a choice between dumb and unelectable once every five years is not a democracy.
I would like to know the answer too! I feel that we are the smallest of countries yet we are the first there...where?..anywhere there's trouble, because we have to be seen to be helping out so as not to 'upset' anyone.
We let everyone and everyone on to our small island so we don't 'upset' anyone.
We will help with any problem, no matter how it affects, us.
For whatever reason it is, it, like war, all come's down to politics and religion and we, the British have to be seen to be doing the right thing because we can't possibly be seen to be 'upsetting' anyone. After all, it wouldn't be British would it!Not really an answer but I feel better for saying it.

on election back in '97 Blair promised a reverendum for further European integration. It never happened. now we have thousands of Eastern Europeans running about and make no mistake theres lots more on the way. The lib/lab/con trinity seem hellbent on wreaking our country. None of them stand for me or my "community."
Because we were once an Empire (run by an Aristocratic Elite) we have to have the whole third world living next door. The chances of being asked by Government if we want to be multicultural are zero. Why? Because people would've said NO to multiculturalism. (A "British Britain" Is bad for business-end of story) Its that simple.;)
