Anybody know about obtaining American Citizenship?

My dad is a citizen of another country. He would like to know his fastest way/best chance of obtaining American citizenship. Specifically, would it be faster for me,his daughter, (who already has an American citizenship) to help him get one or his wife who is currently a Resident Alien who will file for citizenship at the end of this year to help him?

I'm guessing it will take my mother about a year after she applies for citizenship to be able to help him come over here.

Are you over 21? If you are you can fill out the form I-130 which is petition for alien relative. If not you can try to get his wife who is resident and try to fill this same form. Here is a link to it below

If his wife files for US citizenship at the end of this year, she will most likely get it in about 6 months or so, then she can file a petition for him and it will take about 6 months or so to get his Green Card. After that, he will need to file a petition for Naturalization (US Citizenship)- based on marriage to US Citizen the required wait time is 3 years. You could file one for him as well, but it will take much more time (even 5 years or more.) As soon as he gets his Green Card though, he can enter the United States.
