There are a ton of homeless people that would do those jobs and they are citizens. Jobs for Americans firsts-not Paco.

No one in the US wants to work for minimum wage. Period! But someone has to do it. And no, few here in the United States want to work on farms, doing field work or washing dishes in the restaurants. And look, as far as I am concerned, we are ALL illegals when it comes down to it. Our forefathers stole this land from the Indians and we've been thieving around ever since, although no one wants to accept that fact. In or own way, we steal from illegals also. We steal your labor. We have you work for wages no one in the United States wants.
So no one is any better than anyone else.
and yes, there are quite a few lazy Americans...and there are quite a few on welfare.
I did not like it, but I have done it, and I am a US Military Veteran. Also, you usually do not get paid minimum wage if you are harvesting. You get paid by the crate, box, etc., and there is no health insurance, unemployment insurance, and workmans compensation.
WoW! you must live in a box if you don't think that Americans work on farms, do construction, work in restaurants- and no I do my best not to work for minimum wage.. I have a family to support in THIS country and therefore need a decent wage and benefits...- if I was poor, in someone else's country and sending money home.. not having to pay taxes, and where the rate of exchange was high in my country... then sure I would- work for a few years.. and live high on the hog in my own country for the rest of my life
In order to protect the security of the United States it is just possible that we may need to pay more for our lettuce. If that is what it takes to keep out a terrorist attack then I am on board.
Wow. I wish I had the power to deport you myself. Yes Americans want and need those jobs. So pack up and go home. I watched a news report (local) where 80 illegal immigrants where taken from a factory and deported; the next day a line was around the block of Americans trying to get a job there. So please get a green card, become a legal immigrant, or go home.

now, you can organize one, but they are costly. I was lucky
enough to work for the auto industry and didn't have to work
like that. many people in life say they would ever work for a
union because they don't want to give up any of their pay to
someone else, let alone to all the taxes, federal, state,or city.
When you do have a union, they want to farm your job out to a
foreign country from which you came from, so how does
anybody but the wealthy live, let alone survive. good luck.
Other jobs illegals are taking away from "Lazy Americans" that we don't want to do:
- Drug running
- Drunk driving
- Violent crime
- Prostitution
- And, oh yeah, the biggie.terrorist activity
Are you really so blind that you can't realize that the reason illegal immigration is a BIG deal right now, is that if harmless people can sneak across the borders, so can people who wish to do us harm? That's not laziness, that's surviving. And SO SORRY, but if that means the harmless ones are going to be affected while we weed the criminals out, well that's just too bad.

my older siblings used to pick strawberries in the fields in Washington state when they were younger. They used the money they earned picking strawberries to buy school clothes and other stuff for the next school year.
I think this was in 60's or 70's. This was way before the illegals srarting doing it.
Let me say that if I didn't have an education and that it was the only job left...I would work in the fields, scrub toilets at a hotel, work construction or whatever it took to support me and my family. Every time I hear people say that the illegals are taking jobs that Americans don't want to do I want to scream because this is not true. I have been without a car and had to find a way to work including walking on my own two feet. Don't bash the American people when you are here illegally.

I've done all the jobs that illegals do for very little money and I still work my **** off as a housekeeper. Your arguement is false and quite frankly old and boring,we've heard it a million times and none of us are buying it. I can't remember which politician brought it up but there was a meat packing plant that got raided a while back and the majority of the workers were illegal. They were removed and the next day American citizens were lined up at that plant to get their jobs back!
P.S. I don't own a car, I can't afford one.
