I agree with you, completely, on this. I don't know why so many answers are so negative to your question. I have often thought of this. For those who have paid the money to apply through the legal channels, it must be a slap in the face to think that others who jumped the line and didn't pay the fees or fill out the forms and wait patiently, should now get it handed to them on a silver platter. Yes, I agree that those people who went through immigration legally should at least receive a refund if amnesty is given to those who did not. You are 100% right!

While I am all for paying less taxes, the truth of the matter is their reward is becoming an American citizen and not having to worry about being arrested or deported as an illegal alien. Additionally, if they have gone through the trouble of becoming a citizen they already know that their paying less in taxes here than just about anywhere in the world.
I believe in a sense that they are already getting something free. Example those who have paid into the funding of schools for years - and those who arrive legally get to use those services for their children as well.

Just because YOU only consider it a "stupid piece of paper", doesn't mean the U.S. Border Patrol thinks so. If someone is without this "stupid little piece of paper", they are ILLEGALLY in this country and will be deported.
Your little comments about "I know illegal aliens that speak English etc." is only representative of a small percemtage. Are you trying to justify the presence of ALL illegal aliens in this country based on the actions of a few? There are hundreds of millions of people throughout the the world that meet your criteria in your "examples" that would love to immigrate here LEGALLY.

Nah. They knew that they had to spend the money to do it right. The government should enforce the immigration laws that are on the books and keep illegals to a minimum.
They often get interest free or near to nothing business loans. What about the people who are PAYING for these 'gimmees' and for all of those illegally here as well? Our children's schools are being ruined and our hospitals are closing, is what WE get.

Absolutely not. I was born here, i've always obeyed the law and I am offended that your reward system wouldn't include me. You create yet another inequality for many citizens with this plan.
If they want a reward,have them stand up for their country and help put an end to the illegals destroying America. Their reward would be knowing they did something great for their country.
I think if we gave them something like that the rest of the americans would throw a fit. I know I would. The hard part on American's would be deciding who came legally and who didn't. Maybe a mention in the newspaper would be nice for them though. Or a special graduation ceromony :)
