Do you know of anyone in the US that met a Muslim online then married them?
Answer:
I'd be skeptical too. More likely than not, he is using her to gain entrance into the U.S.
It boggles the mind that some women and men cant see through this con.
I'd be skeptical too.
I met and married a Muslim man that I first chatted with online. We have been happily married for 11 1/2 years and I have a wonderful family. It may be that he is only looking for a green card, but one can never know anothers intentions. I'm not missing any front teeth, but I am a BBW, and my husband never complains. I also didn't go to another country to marry him, he was already in the US, but was illegal. I drove from Indiana to Texas to meet him back when I was in college, and I never looked back. We met face to face at the end of April and married two weeks later. He is the one that is older though, but that doesn't always matter.
The only caution I would give is that if you are going to marry a Muslim man, be prepared to convert to Islam. Otherwise, your marriage will be a very difficult one and probably will not work. I converted to Islam before I married my husband, and I converted because it is something that I wanted to do. Islam is a beautiful and wonderful religion when you truly want to learn and understand Islam. I have known a few couples where the man was Muslim and the lady was not, and all ended in divorce.
She also has to be patient. There will be cultural conflicts that will arise, but with communication a common ground can be found and both individuals will be better people in the end. One blessing that I have enjoyed is that we have been able to take the good things from each of our cultures and leave the bad behind, and I think it has made my daughter a better person than I was at her age.
