Why should Mexicans learn English, if the European settlers never learned the dialects of Native Americans?

My family has been in north America for almost 400 years and we learned English. I hope my family gets put on reservations so we can get a welfare check rather than working so other get a welfare check.

Perhaps the invaders and their half-breed offspring should have learned to speak the Aztec and Mayan language.
I will learn to speak spanish when I go to Spain. Til then I dont have to. You think English speakers should have to learn Spanish to make easier on you yet you refuse to learn English to make it easier on you. Kind of a silly argument.
Legal Mexicans` should learn to speak English , just like all our forefathers` Legal Immigrants did , not because they were made to , but because they wanted to , they wanted to be proud new citizens of America and they wanted people to know it ... German Legal Immigrants didn`t come from Germany speaking English , they learned it , that goes for all the other nationalities that make up America , except Mexicans`. Our Immigrant forefathers came here Legally , with the hope and desire to become citizens of the greatest nation in history . There was nothing here for them FREE , except the Freedom of their soul , and an opportunity to embrace it and be part of something the world had never before seen , The USA !!
