Deportation laws?

was deported from canada in 1973 and would like to return for an overnight visit with family,is there a statute of limitations on deportation?

Answer:
Once you have been deported, you need to ask for a pardon and then submit all neccessary paperwork, even for one day, and that process could take fro 2-4 months and that is only for the pardon and process, and then more of a wait for approval..??
No, there is not a statute of limitations in Canada's deportation laws. As the other answerer says here, you will have to apply for a pardon and only if you get that will you be able to return at all.
