Advice for Becoming a Border Patrol?

Hi everybody, Im 22 years old and i want to join the BP's. Do you know how much do they get paid? I know i have to take a couple of exams, do you know where i can get some training for that? maybe a webstie? Im from el paso tx, and the bad thing is that im a resident that is going to become a N citizen of the US. Does that matter? I appreciate all the info you can tell me. Thx in Advance

It is a federal job. I would suggest you go read about Ramos and Compean before you make a discision on this . Ramos and Compean are in a federal prison serving time for doing their job.They were put in prison on the word of a known drug dealer.
Mrszola posted all the links that you will need. Honorfirst.com is the best website that you can find on becoming a Border Patrol Agent. Also try USAjobs.com. BPA start out making about $50,000 a year. With in 4 years a BPA's yearly salary is in the mid $80,000s. The process to become hired takes about one year. www.opm.gov has the study material for the initial tests you will have to take. However you do need to a citizen of the United States (Naturalized USC works as well).
