I changed jobs after 18+yrs. My new employer needed to see my S.S. card before i could start. Which i couldnt find. I went to apply for a dupilucate and they told me they had no record of cititzenship. I was issude my S.S.# in 1973. Now i have to prove that i am a U.S. citizen My HONORABLE DISCARGE papers from the U.S. ARMY is not good enough. Whats wrong with this picture????

It sounds to me like you're getting the run around. Your DD214 should be sufficient to show citizenship. Contact your local congressman, he/she will help you. It sucks that a veteran is treated this way. Good Luck from a fellow Veteran.
