I agree with Army Retired Guy. Kennedy got away with murder in 1969. He should have been thrown out of office almost 40 years ago. He made a speech on TV and said basically, "I did not drown that women, Mary Jo Koechne". Senator Kennedy spent the nine hours after the accident attempting to cover-up his involvement, while Mary Jo Kopechne was left to die in his submerged automobile. Read the story and get back to us.
