i wish to know who amongst you (particularly those of you that are angry over mexicans and central americans jumping our border) will take jobs that such people risk their life savings and family to come here.
in addition, please state what you think of the UN's demand that we take in 200,000 more muslims from iraq because we "began the war?"
and, what do you think of immigration in general? should we close our doors to concentrate on our own people for a number of years?

I'd take a union job that gives me decent pay and a pension fund. for example, i might be a butcher. 10 years ago, butchers made about $21/hour and had union health insurance coverage for them and their families, as well as a pension fund. Now, they only make about $2 over minimum wage and do not get benefits. Well, at least that's true in some locations.
What's so worrisome is that if one more of our 50 states goes "right to work," then the unions will have a minority representation in the USA. Not many people study the history of unions, but there was so much violence inflicted upon members of them when they started the fight to join them. That way, and only that way, did they put a stop to robber barons using them to death for such small wages and no benefits that they could not provide a decent living to their kids and themselves.
I'm on the edge of the conservative side, but really, do not ally myself with any political party. I'm not very political because none of the politicians do much after they attain office. I am older than 40, so I face job discrimination in any field. I currently am a resident of Illinois, a pro-union state.
As to the muslims: my feeling is that we already have enough of them here. I do not like that they particularly refuse to assimilate themselves into mainstream America and live in muslim ghettos. I don't want more of them here because some of them may already have intentions to destroy our country even more via other means than flying jets into buildings if they live here: they may already be secret members of Al Queda devoted to Jihad.
I do not think that women's liberation helped women much: I think it ended up enslaving men and women to be tied to working so hard that they are too tired to care for their kids, so the kids just play computer games and are not learning much in school.
If American-born citizens really would take jobs that illegal aliens do, then they should rather than just moaning and complaining as I see so often here.

If forced to go back to south of the border, then 13 years sounds too long to have to stay there before returning. What money do they have to pay stiff penalties?
I do know that they come here primarily for benefits and they dress better than I do as well as drive a far newer and nicer car than I can afford. And I have two college degrees in very, very marketable fields!

I'll do the jobs and like ssssooooo many before me did to. The point is the employer dosn't face the same restrictions with illeagals as they do with NORMAL workers and the money they save is money in their pockets and nothing more to say on the subject. The only ones for these illeagals are companys making money off the way they rip them off and people that have no clue as to what their talking about defending them.
Someone actually used to drive around in trucks delivering milk to people and could make a living at it . Who do you think did the jobs that had to get done before the Mexican invasion ? Did you always think we had to import Mexicans to this country to put roofs on our homes and businesses? They just looked brown up there because of the tans .

People on this site REFUSE to believe news, even if it comes out and bites them in the face. They will say yahoo is not credible!
The people doing those jobs are not wasting time on Y!A, they are probably out working. And I'm not talking about only Mexicans, I'm talking about all kinds of illegal immigrants. Pay your proper dues to get into this country, and if you think that some are poor, check out the smuggling rates as well as the dangers associated with that.
Forced immigration is also not good. If anything from a logistics point of view, but also the public reaction to those people. Are they going to congregate in one area? Or will they be spread around? Either way, life will be difficult for them because people will make it that way.
Close doors completely? No. The US just needs to make sure that people are following the rules.

Bust boy—I wouldn’t mind, it’s an easy job. I don’t see too many illegal immigrants taking them tho??? Maybe in a Hispanic restaurant, but that is ok.

There are many American teens and college kids who will bus tables, sack groceries, mow lawns, paint houses, work fast foods, toss newspapers , etc.
How do I know? I was one of them. But all the while, I knew that I would one day graduate from a university and would never expect to feed off my government. And I damn sure haven't.
I know for a fact that a lot of people don't and will never do these jobs my father has his own roofing construction company and he likes to hire Mexicans and latino men over white and black people he pays them a really good salary I asked him why he said I am not racist I simply like the Latino men bc they are better works. He said he has hired a couple of black and white guys but they were really lazy and he did let them go bc one of them liked to miss a lot and always complained He said he suggested to one of them the complainer if you don't like your job you should go back to school and get a desk job. The vast majority of people are good and you have some that are sour but I haven't found good ones that I could say they put effort in what they do. My father always buys there employees lunch he takes them out on friday nights and he fronts the bill he bought insurance for them and I don't know about their legal status but I don't ask he pays them in check and he deducts taxes from there and I know that when ever an immigrant works in a company they are also taxed. Many people complain and complain about this subject I am not saying that I support this but the only think I know is I do support the immigrants that are here and actually trying to better themselves opposed to the ones that committ crime and horrific things those are the people that give immigrants a bad name and its not good to stereotype. As a born here American, I've done the following jobs...
1. FARM WORKER (3 years)= Picked, packed, sorted and sold tomatoes on a 200 acre farm. Also worked in the green house's during the summer tending plants. Wages for picking tomatoes were $1.00 an hour and .05 cents a basket. Working hours were 10 to 12 hours per day, six days a week (owners were religious wouldn't work Sunday), during the growing season.
2. CONSTRUCTION SITE CLEANER (1 year)= Helped tradesmen with job setups and during the assembly process. Main job was to clean up waste wood, masonry scrap and all other trash pick up. Wages were about $1.75 per hour.
3. JANITOR ( 2 years)= Cleaned toilets, sinks, urinals, emptied trash, etc. Wages were based on the job, the more jobs you did, the more you made.
So, I've done those type of jobs and I'm Anglo baby. I finally got an education and pulled myself out of the rut.
As far as the UN goes, they don't run my country. If we followed the UN recommendation's like France did, maybe we would have all of those quaint little riot's they seem to have with their Muslim immigrants. One thing about those French Muslims they seem to like burning cars.
My political stance is conservative (or what benefits my country at the time).
As far as my age goes, lets say I pumped .32 cent per gallon gas in my fuel tank.
