Can canadian citizenship be taken away?
Answer:
Yes. See the link for complete details.
Retaining citizenship
Some citizens born outside Canada to a parent who was a Canadian at the time of their birth are required to make an application and meet certain requirements to keep (retain) Canadian citizenship before turning 28 years of age. This is called retention of Canadian citizenship.
Retention applies to Canadians born outside Canada after February 14, 1977, to a Canadian parent who was also born outside Canada to a Canadian parent. The Citizenship Act says that this second generation born outside Canada will lose their Canadian citizenship at age 28 unless they take steps to retain it.
Not sure about Canada... But if it's anything like the US then basically no. (I'm a permanent resident here). You can get exiled for any of the same reasons a regular citizen can (I don't know how the hell anyone can get exiled.) If you're a citizen, you're a citizen. Not sort of a citizen, actually a citizen, don't let anyone tell you differently.
I would not worry too much about it. but if you ever want to see the Stanley Cup you will have to come to the USA.
