to support enforcement of immigration law we will be
labelled racist and/or stupid by those who want to not enforce
it. I have discovered that I am no longer a liberal, except for a shrinking number of issues. I have learned that one of my Senators cares more for the rights of persons of undocumented status than she cares for the constituents she was elected to represent and has no problem in
burdening her constituents with the costs. I have discovered the hypocrisy of a group of people from a nation with very strict immigration laws who protest our laws. What have you learned?
Answer:
Yes I have. And most of them you mentioned except that I have never been a liberal. Also in dealing with some no amount of facts or showing them where they are wrong or misguided will ever change their minds on political things. Such is life. I wish some especially those who say they are conservative would not use name calling and profanity in their responses or questions. It just negates their point because the ones reading will mostly focus on the name calling and that gives them the right to ignore and not answer the question. Although sometimes it is hard not to fire back to all the name calling the wanna be libs do on here.

Yea, that pretty much sums it up. I was never a liberal (thank god) but the rest is fairly dead on. I prefer being a centrist and keep hoping for a third party in the nation that comes closer to my own views.

I learned that Americans harbor secret hate within themselves regarding "illegals". I learned to look at certain Americans especially blacks and whites a different way.
I am not as Conservative as I thought I was.
That a lot people cannot spell or else I am have been out of the hip lingo loop for too long.

Although I disagree with you on immigration, your problems with the bill are mine, it is a matter of degree of tolerance of the enforcement issue.
And that to learn something one has to search quite a bit on the questions and answers. In otherwords get past the mantra to find a nugget of knowledge.
I agree with you 100%! I have ALWAYS voted Democrat, but I am finding that I back very little about what they say any longer.
I find it very odd that illegal aliens here who are from Mexico have the gall to say ANYTHING bad about OUR immigration laws. I have learned quite a lot also.
I have learned that the vast majority of Americans are against amnesty and illegal immigration and we are fed up. We are taking action and being heard in Washington. YAY!!!
I have learned when good people do nothing Evil prevails! Maybe it is time a Civics lesson should be taught, calling for the resignations of those supporting Amnesty, try them for Treason and as Traitors. Our elected officials are Not protecting American Citizens First and that is what they swore an Oath to and To Defend and Protect the United States Constitution! Boycott their homes and offices!
I learned that their are many American Patriots here. Our voices can be heard. We can fight against illegal immigration and who cares if we get called names.
I am no longer a Democrat either!! woohoo, I have now become an Independent. I'll vote for whoever stands up for the American people. No more party line votes!
I've learned that more americans need to speak up and say enough is enough when the time calls for it. i have also learned, my first day on this sight. that there is a lot of racist illegals and supporters. i say live and let live but do it legally.
