Immigration Question//Please help its very important?

Ok so this is very important to me. recently my father traveled to the dominican republic, He is a US recident, and while on his trip there his resident card and social security were stolen. He filed a report at the police station, but they are telling him he needs to wait two months. Also everytime he goes to see if the report is done they ask him for things he doesnt have to give him the report. Such as his residence card or ssc, which i honestly think they are giving him the run around, because that is why he made the report because it was stolen.
Is there some kind of letter i can get for him in the immigration office in the USA to send him by express mail to dominican republic so he can re-enter the usa? If so can you tell me what i need to show or bring so they can verify im his daughter.

Any answers will be greatly appreciated .
PLEASE HELP

Answer:
In the case that you have some kind of records like photocopy of the US documents, just for him to be able to prove the US officers that he is a LEGAL resident, from there they can grant him some kind of oficial document to be able to return home.
I believe is more the US Officials can give him a hand with the police report *eventhought* is not complete, is a prove that he reported his docs, Maybe the person that stole them is going to try to use them. He does not have to wait two months..

United States Embassy, Santo Domingo: +1 809 221 2171.
The easiest way to get him out is to express mail his birth certificate to him so he can show the authorities .
He should be able to go to the US consulate.
Has he tried the US Embassy in Santo Domingo? They should be able to help him get things straightened out.

Here is the link. Good luck!

Your father needs to contact the American Citizen Services Unit at the US Embassy Santo Domingo (they also handle Lawful Permanent Resident issues). They should be able to expedite his reporting to the DR authorities, as well as verify his US status and provide assistance with travel documents as warranted:

Phone: (809) 731-4294 Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For after hours emergencies you may call (809) 221-2171, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (NOTE: As you have described the situation, this will not be considered an emergency - calls should be made during normal business hours to elicit the most cooperation).

Fax: (809) 689-6142

E-mail: acssantodom@state.gov.

NOTE: I recall that your sister, also a Lawful Permanent Resident, traveled to the DR with an expired Green Card - your family seems to have a disproportionate amount of trouble maintaining their US immigration documents/status.
Call the Department of State and your local immigration office they should be able to guide you and if he has a DR passport then the US consulate should be able to stamp it for him verifying his residency.
Have him sneak across like the rest!
I read that wrong at first and thought it said citizen.

OK try uscis.gov

Two months does sound like a long time to get a copy of a paper.

What if you tried a paralegal service to walk in and get a copy? Sometimes 'walk in' service is same day, but mail in service is 'when we get to it.'
Looking at the Discussion, I noticed that he is a resident alien. Which means he doesn't have an American Passport, I assume that if you were nice to the consular officer in Santo Domingo he or she might help you.

Remember when dealing with FSO's be nice they don't have to do anything.
