Why do countries have immigration laws?
Is it because the countries know that there is only so much natural resources in their country?
Or is it because the countries are just trying to be evil and mean spirited?
Answer:
IT'S ALL OF THE ABOVE. WE HAVE LAWS THAT SHOULD BE FOLLOWED. IF BREAKING THE LAW IS THE FIRST THING YOU DON'T IN THE US THEN WE DON'T NEED YOU.
our first duty is to the citizens of our country
None of the above
Your first two answers are right on. they also do not want to upset the economy with an over abundance of non educated people that need to be taken care of. Mexico has very stiff immigration laws.
to keep out undesirable scrounging foreign scum bags
Its because the immigrants take the low paying jobs away from the citizens.
It is a safety measure - we need to know who is on US soil and why they are here. That is why the immigration laws really need to be followed. 9/11 is a prime example of why we need to know who is here and what their purpose is.
usually its to prevent epedemics like the bubonic plague from killing 1/3 of the population from occuring or it may be the that the government don't want spys stealing information since lots of nations lose millions of dollars due to spys stealing info. Also, many natives don't want to lose their jobs to foreign low wage workers. Like with mexico. They have little jobs and pay very low compared to America (theory and im sorry if I offended anyone). Theres plenty of jobs in America that gives more cash to them so then native people lose their jobs and they get mad. Theres more to it, but I'm not that informitive.
Oh you mean like Andrew Speaker, those kinds of people, who glob-trot all over Europe spreading one of the most dangerous strains of TB with no regards to others, just to get married in Greece? YOU mean those people?
you really need to take an economics class! If we just let everyone in there would be so many people(including yourself) that would be out of work and forced to live in poverty. I am talking about college graduates living in poverty because all of the indians would come over and take over their jobs.
It is perfectly acceptable if you do not agree with the current laws, but you can't just completely throw them out!!!
To keep people in, or to keep them out!
Whether they are an immigrant or not, TB is not a major medical issue though there is an increase and the Media hypes it. Hep is a far bigger issue.
Either can be brought in by a visitor who is not an immigrant. You don't need a physical before you travel, though the recommend certain medications!
You can be vaccinated for Hep B and is a requirement for working in hospitals. It is a 2 dose shot.
Hep B is only caused by fecal to oral contact, so wash your hands and you have little chance of catching it!
Borders are designed to protect the citizens within them.
Having a strong border helps keep terrorists, criminals, drug runners, public welfare sponges and other undesirables from preying on the citizens.
We have already experienced what happens when our borders are not secure. I bet every American knows of multiple situations where our citizens were killed by illegal immigrants who scurry back across the border to hide from justice.
9/11 should have taught us that we no longer can afford to allow border crossings by everyone who wants to come in.
We have to screen who gets in and who doesn't. In order to do that we have to build the fence. Immigrants would then have to apply to come in like every other country.
Because each country has their own people and its tough luck you were not born in the country you want to go to, so that country needs to keep their people and anyone wanting to enter can do it legally and pass the requirements, like background checks, medical checks, and pay their fees, and prove they are not going to be a burden on society,

Andrew Speakman is not an immigrant.
But that was a good example. He flew (traveled) against his doctor's advice. He knew he had TB.
This is exactly the kind of person we want to keep out. People that want to immigrate (LIVE) here knowing they have a communicable disease.
If WE have failsafes or checkpoints at least we can somewhat control who comes here. Who knows, out of the at least 12 million illegal aliens we have here, what kinds of diseases were brought here.
To keep people like terrorists out.
