Am an f-1 visa holder that has been out of school for 3 years and recently got married to a us citizen.?
Answer:
As long as you entered the US legally, your new spouse and you can file simultaneously the I-130 request for an immigrant status for you, and the I-485 request for adjustment, along with all the supporting forms and documents. Find the forms and more information here:

Although this page does not say so, as long as you are married to a US citizen he or she can file the I-130 at the same time and in the same package that you file all this stuff.
well, so you have been out of school for 3 years, F1 only has one year legal pending after you out of school, so it has been 2 years, you been illegal in US . but now you marry a citizen. so the issue is that 2 years, you need to consult a lawyer to help you "fill up" that two years. For example, what you do in past two years, work? ( you need tax comfirm of that) or going out of country? it can be anything to fill up that two years. after that, you should get residency very quick coz your husband is citizen. question now is how you fix that "two years".
