following is a transcript of that interview.
Jim: Juan, I see that you and thousands of other
protesters are marching in
the streets to demonstrate for your cause. Exactly
what is your cause and
what do you expect to accomplish by this protest?
Juan: We want our rights. We will show you how
powerful we are. We will
bring Houston to its knees!

This may be an example of circular logic, but not all illegal immigrants think exactly like this one person.
To say that all illegal immigrants think alike is illogical and prejudiced.
Are you implying that all natural Americans think logically?

When Americans travel overseas or to Mexico and South America, and they feel unwelcome, perhaps it is because of this totally non-compassionate outlook we express openly.
It makes us seem like we are insensitive to the sufferings of others.

Not all of the illegal immigrants think like that, only the militant types. And even if 100,000 people are protesting and are militant and express these ideals, that's still only 1% of the illegal immigrant total.
Not all of them. Some of them are heavily influenced by some racist brown pride groups such as Nation of Aztlan and so on. I don't think what that immigrant said speaks for all of us. We come here to work not to be a drag on your society.

Funny .. in a tragic sort of way. It's a fake interview for sure, the guy's English is too good. However, it does reflect the thinking of the average hispanic illegal.
I am an immigrant, but from Canada, and I used to think that the USA had their native indian problems all sorted out, not like in Canada where the natives have their hand out most of the time and the rest of the time they are staging some kind of protest over land we supposedly illegally bought from them under duress ... and always our government gives in to them costing the working taxpayers even more $$$$.
But now I see that America is still having an indian problem but it's not their native indians but the native indians (& mestizo's) from Mexico and Central America.
Kind of weird, the attitude of the Canadian Indian and the Mexican/Central American Indian is the same. Things never change.

i dont know whether this interview is true or not. I am an immigrant & what i can tell u is that some people are here because they want to get welfare benefits, etc. however those are a minority, most people only want to be able to work so they can provide for their families without the help from the government , they want to improve their lifes!!
