If they eventually pass this bill how long do you think it will take for it finally become an effective bill?
Answer:
246 years
I'd rather people who are trying to come here legally be granted first access. I hope never.
forever and a day...it will do just as the 1986 bill...encourage more and more to come illegally, expecting eventual shamesty, no measures will be enforced that might actually hurt the corporate elite...as for securing the border...it should be a TOTALLY separate issue.
I don't think it will pass. IF it does pass the senate, it will never pass through the house.
Hopefully, it's nailed shut today with the Senate's Final Cloture.
If by some chance it's passed, The House has made it clear they will not take up the bill and/or pass it.
Too early to celebrate but I have the beer on ice......
About as long as the one they passed back in 1986 that granted amnesty and promised to tighten up the borders. We're still waiting on that one 21 years later (the border tightening portion of the bill).
Never, and two days.
