Should all governments in the world do more to track down and deport illegal immigrants back to their country?
I said illegal immigrants as in those people who have entered a country illegally and not those immigrants, who have been granted visas to work or citizenships to the country they are staying/working in.
Answer:
yes! they enter a country illegal so thererfore they commit a crime,no country needs thats. if they want to move they should do it the proper way, like others have to do too
nope
I think it's up to the individual governments and the members of those countries. It's too hard to generalize for all.
I am quite sure that if that is the policy, they will surely find a country for you.
Yes we need quicker laws to be passed so deportation can take place quickly, and i think that in Britain we dont need any more immigrants i think its about time we made Britain British and great again, time to pull up the draw bridge. we have a large enough communitys with a mixed population with enough mixed skills to do this.
I have worked for a company that paid for a squad of 30 Polish guys to come to Scotland for work around 3 to 4 years ago. We, as employers, found houses/flats to lease nearby & rented rooms to the workers at a fair rent.
When they first arrived the existing workforce hated them all. However, the Polish work ethic is brilliant. They all worked really hard, did any overtime asked without moaning & generally did a great job. They all, without exception, attended English classes & were friendly & polite.
Now they have integrated totally into the workforce & also socialise with their workmates. Productivity has increased because the original workforce raised their game to keep up so as not to be seen as lazy which led to bigger wage increases. It is a win, win situation for all concerned.
I personally believe that employers should be held accountable for employing illegal immigrants - after all, they reap the benefits and also by employing them. The Chinese cockle pickers who drowned in Morcambe Bay were allegedly being paid £1 a day! Really! I also knew a Chinese guy at university who worked 8 hour shifts for £20, at a local corner shop. It´s exploitation.
This all impacts upon the poorest people in society, who are effectively priced out of the labour market by people who are willing (need) to work for less than the minimum wage. There are social and economic costs of illegal immigration (higher unemployment, lower wages, increased racial tension, etc) and the only people who benefit are employers...
Spot check employers and hit them with huge, punitive fines and it´ll become far less of a problem.
it depends on the country and the citizens of the country.. but I definitely think they should in the US
Not unless you want your tax bill to double in size since in order to deport, they have to house, feed, and transport them. That could easily mount into the billions.
Only if they give the "illegals" a fair hearing. They should review all cases on their merits and grant working visas to those who are not criminals and have lived a good life here. Some people (particularly failed asylum seekers) are terrified of being returned. Just because somebody has failed their asylum claim it does not mean that they are not genuine asylum seekers. Our judicial system can be very unfair and sometimes people are returned to their country on technicalities even though it is admitted that it is likely that they would be in danger upon their return.
