If a baby is born in america , does it automatically become?
Answer:
No matter what country you are a citizen of, if your baby is born in the Unites States, they are automatically a citizen of the United States of America. If you plan to go back to your native country, you will need to apply for citizenship for your child in your country. Your child will then have dual citizenship.
either in, on or over our country qualifies citizenship.good luck
Anyone born in america is an americn citizen, you might want dual citizenship
A baby born in America, REGARDLESS of whether the parents are here legally or not, is considered an American citizen.
This is called an "anchor baby". I live in Texas here in the United States and this is a big issue for us as we border Mexico. Mexican women risk their lives to cross the border illegally just in time for them to have their babies. If the women are not caught in time, and the baby is born, then the baby is an American citizen.
Arguably, the Constitution has been misconstrued, and people believe that illegals can come here to drop children who become citizens.
We need a constitutional amendment which will define the proper citizenship mehtod, just as we need a constitutional amendment which will define marriage as between a man a woman.
If baby born here yes it would be an American citizen how ever they could still deport the parent.
yes. it does.
it would have dual citizenship in both the UK and america so if its born in america and the parents are british it would be a citizen of both countries
the baby would be an American Citizen. however if the UK and the US do not have dual citizenship laws than... there would have to be a choice, usually when the child turns 18-
To the best of my knowledge, children born in the U.S. are considered American citizens.
I think it would be both. Anyone born in America is an American citizen, and I think that if you are born to British Parents, you are a british citizen. I'm pretty sure that's the case.
if the baby is born in america, yes it is automatically american. same goes for every other country. race doesn't matter. exe:
asian american, african american, american, you get the idea.
If a baby is born in the u.s. and the parents are illegals it's called "welfare"..
they will be sucking our tax dollars forever.
If a baby is born in America, he/she are American citizens.
i'm not sure i understand your question because you live in the uk but a baby is being born in america? all i know is that right now i'm preety sure that the baby would be an american citizen but i've heard that the government is making a law that if a person coming into america illegally and has a child the child would not be a legal citizen
The baby will be a U.S. Citizen, regardless where you're from.
No, just because a child is born in the USA does not make it a citizen. if any of my children were born in Japan, they would not be Japanese. The children are the same citizenry as the parents. NO ANCHOR BABIES!
yes it does because if you were born in Africa then you would not be considered as a American
A baby born in america is automatically a american citizen no matter freakin what. Besides no one can actually put a limit on what it means to be an american citizen , when you are born here you are a citizen no questions asked. When born in the U.K. not so much, if you are not considered a U.K. citizen then in all intensive purposes they will ship you back to your country.
Born in the U. S. = Citizenship
Every country establishes its own rules of citizenship. In the U.S., everyone born in the U.S. is automatically a citizen, regardless of how they came to be born there.
No they are not American citizens if they came here illegally. Our Constitution has the 14th amendment which was writen around the Civil War era. The congressmen who wrote that amendment stated that if an alien who circumvents this law will make their decendants illegal aliens as well. This is one of the problems we have been having with Mexico. It might lead to war if our congress continues on is treasonist ways.
I am from New Zealand and our law is that and american born baby is a New Zealander only by descent... and then they have the choice to be either american or kiwi. I have remained a New Zealander but my childrens dad is an american and they were born here they are americans. they are registered in New Zealand but they are american citizens
That fool by the name of Adam must be the child of a KKK member.
Listen, regardless of parents' legal status, any child born in the United States is an American. Even if your child is born and you are still a legal resident of England, your child is still American and will enjoy all the privileges of our country. Suggestion: If you do choose for your child to be born in U.S., teach him/her to love his country of birth and root for the USMNT!
