As Spanish Resident how can I live and work in UK?
Answer:
Once you are a resident of an EU country you can live and work anywhere within the EU.
IDK
if residency is like citizenship for Spain
you have the right to move and work in any EU countries
Hope they take you... the EU has laws that should cover that... good by.
why on earth would you want to?!! i would give my right arm to live in spain!! to be honest there arent many jobs or much oppurtunity here at the moment, but your more thn welcome to try!! If you become a Spanish citizen then that means your part of the EU so u can come as you please.Only a work permit though but if your here for more than five years then you can apply for settled status which means you'll have the same rights as a british citizen (i think! dont take my word for it though!). Your best bet is asking your passport office or if you have a citizens advice bureau ask them, you'd get much more informed advice as legislation is changing all the time. good luck x
Good luck.
If you have an EU passport then you may work anywhere in the EU, if not, tough and in fact you cannot stay in the EU without getting all the correct EU visas.

You will need to meet the residency requirements of the Spanish Immigration, then once you are a family member of an EU Citizen or spouse or dependent you will be given a vignette in you passport or an ink stamp that will allow you to work and live in the UK without any restrictions.
Why are you trying to get into our country by the back door? Stay in the US or stay in Spain, our island is full of everyone else trying to steal our few remaining jobs so sod off!
To add and counter what you have written, firstly I am not stupid and secondly instead of becoming a Spanish national by marriage and then moving to the Uk because as you have said there are no jobs there, this is why I said you are taking the back door. Why not try entering the UK directly from the USA and applying for British Citizenship?
Yes you can. You will be eligible for a visa in the UK because you are the spouse of an EU citizen. You do not need to go through spain first, you can come direct to the UK (but get your visa sorted before hand). Contact the UK embassy in Spain or mexico or america.
It is a very common practise, I know many spouses of EU citizens that work in the UK and France, even though their EU citizen spouse might be from greece, italy, or anywhere else in the EU.
